“Rosnia.”

As I was agonizing seriously, Ruwellin slowly rose from his seat and reached out, placing a hand on my shoulder.

Having grown quite close without me realizing, he gazed at me steadily and touched his forehead to mine.

As always, this man’s body was much hotter than mine.

“Let’s just run away.”

“I’m confident I can hide you well. How about running away with me?”

His voice and expression were far too serious for a joke.

The familiar dashed outside and kept barking.

Adrian had definitely arrived at the villa.

The clever familiar was deliberately going outside, pretending to greet its master.

Since it had come to this, I had no choice but to hide Ruwellin.

I grabbed Ruwellin’s wrist and approached the large wardrobe.

Then I quickly opened the wardrobe door and roughly shoved the large man’s body inside.

Ruwellin stared at me blankly from inside the cramped, dark wardrobe.

“Rose......”

I cupped his cheeks with both hands and quickly gave him a peck.

With a soft smacking sound, I pulled my lips away.

Ruwellin’s eyes widened, and then his face flushed bright red.

“Your Grace, please hide here for a while. I’ll try to create an opportunity for you to escape without Adrian knowing.”

“......Alone?”

“......I’ll think a bit more about whether I’ll go with you. For now, just hide here. If Adrian sees you, he’ll definitely lose his mind.”

“......I understand.”

Ruwellin answered with a reluctant sigh.

I hugged him tightly once, then closed the wardrobe door.

Just before the door closed completely, I thought I saw his green eyes through the gap gleam with a strange light.

‘Crazy eyes.’

I thought about why Ruwellin’s eyes through the gap in the wardrobe bothered me so much, and realized it was because they were the same crazy eyes he often showed.

A strange unease settled in a corner of my heart.

The familiar barked enthusiastically and wagged its tail toward the villa’s iron gate, which was opening with a creak.

Despite having been bribed by me, it was amusing to see it pretend to be loyal now that its master was back.

Immaculately clean black shoes invaded the garden without hesitation.

Raising my gaze further, I saw Adrian, dressed all in black formal wear as always, wearing leather half-gloves on his hands and holding a diamond-studded cane, tilting his head with a languid expression.

His red eyes were still indifferent, but his pale lips curved into a long smile when he spotted me.

Adrian’s skin was very pale, so when he smiled like that, it was as if death itself was smiling.

He loosely spun his cane and slowly approached me.

I tried my best to smile naturally and greeted him.

“Hello, brother.”

His lips, tinged with amusement, parted slightly.

“Hello, little sister.”

It was a voice that never failed to make my heart clench tightly.

The kind of sound a leopard-like beast might make as it lazily growled.

I froze like a rabbit before a leopard and smiled awkwardly.
