Chapter 39

The days that followed were a whirlwind of activity.

Wedding preparations were in full swing, and it seemed like everyone in the castle was busy. I was measured for my wedding dress, tasted countless cake samples, and reviewed guest lists until my eyes crossed.

But through it all, Ruwellin was by my side.

He helped me make decisions when I was overwhelmed, held my hand when I was stressed, and kissed me when I needed reassurance.

"Youundefinedre doing great," he would say, and I would believe him.

Adrian Hyll stayed at the castle, much to Ruwellinundefineds chagrin. He watched over me like a hawk, glaring at Ruwellin whenever he got too close.

But even he seemed to be softening, little by little.

One day, I found him in the garden, looking at the roses.

"Brother?"

He turned around. His expression was unreadable.

"These roses……."

"Yes?"

"Theyundefinedre the same color as your hair."

"I know. Ruwellin planted them for me."

Adrian Hyll was silent for a moment. Then he sighed.

"……He really does love you, doesnundefinedt he?"

"Yes. He does."

"I still donundefinedt like him."

"I know."

"But…… I suppose I can tolerate him. For your sake."

I smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you, brother."

"……Donundefinedt make a habit of it."

But he hugged me back, and I knew he was slowly coming to terms with it.

The wedding day arrived faster than I expected.

I woke up before dawn, my heart pounding with excitement and nerves. The maids came to help me get ready, fussing over my hair and makeup.

My wedding dress was a beautiful white gown, embroidered with deep pink roses. It had been my motherundefineds, altered to fit me.

"You look beautiful, milady," the head maid said, tears in her eyes.

"Thank you."

I looked at myself in the mirror. A stranger stared back, a woman on the verge of a new life.

There was a knock on the door. Father entered, looking handsome in his formal robes.

"Are you ready?"

"……Yes."

He offered me his arm, and I took it.

"Your mother would be proud."

"……Thank you, Father."

We walked to the main hall, where the ceremony was to be held. The hall was filled with guests, all turned to look at me as I entered.

And at the altar stood Ruwellin.

He was wearing a white suit, his platinum blonde hair catching the light. His emerald eyes were fixed on me, and they were shining.

He looked like a prince from a fairy tale.

Father handed me over to Ruwellin, and he took my hands.

"Youundefinedre beautiful," he whispered.

"So are you."

He smiled, and the ceremony began.

The vows were simple but heartfelt. We promised to love each other, to cherish each other, to be there for each other through good times and bad.

And then, the moment came.

"You may kiss the bride."

Ruwellin leaned down and kissed me. It was a gentle kiss, but it held the promise of forever.

The guests cheered, and I felt tears streaming down my face.

I was Mrs. Ruwellin Rashiane.

The reception was a grand affair, with music and dancing and feasting.

I danced with Ruwellin, with Father, with Adrian Hyll (who looked like he would rather be anywhere else), and with countless other guests.

But the best part was when Ruwellin pulled me aside, away from the crowd.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" he asked.

"Very much. You?"

"Now that Iundefinedm alone with you, yes."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close.

"I love you, Rosnia."

"I love you too, Ruwellin."

He kissed me, and for a moment, the world faded away. There was only him, only us.

When he pulled back, he was smiling.

"Ready to go?"

"Go where?"

"Our honeymoon. I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise?"

"Youundefinedll see."

He took my hand and led me out of the hall. We sneaked away like thieves, laughing like children.

Outside, a carriage was waiting. We climbed in, and it set off into the night.

I leaned my head on Ruwellinundefineds shoulder and closed my eyes.

I didnundefinedt know where we were going, but I didnundefinedt care. As long as I was with him, I was home.
