This Obsessive Love Runs Deeper Than Blood

Princess Juno, the sheltered daughter of a small kingdom’s gentle king, grew up protected and beloved. She dreamed only of a peaceful future and her forthcoming marriage to Leif, the kind second prince of a neighboring nation and her devoted fiancé.

But when they met again, it was before her father’s blood-soaked corpse.

Without warning, Leif led his nation’s army in a lightning-fast invasion, toppling Juno’s kingdom in a single strike. When Juno cries out and condemns him as a murderer, Leif coldly delivers his verdict,

"At this moment, I annul our engagement. Choose for yourself. Be executed here and now, or become the wife of the man who beheaded your father."

Juno understands his intent, he wanted to humiliate her by forcing the choice upon her. But for the sake of her people, she chooses to live, and to become his wife.

Her resolve is clear. No matter how deeply she must sink into the mud, she will survive... and take her revenge.

What Juno does not realize, however, is the truth hidden within Leif’s eyes, a love he has buried so deeply, even he no longer dares to name it.
