We Don't Know Each Other Anymore

"You likely already understand why I’ve written this, but I’m leaving this letter to honor my promise."

Elisha, the Archmage of the Cardion Empire and fiancée to Emperor Erich.

"Your Highness, no, Your Majesty... you always used to say, didn’t you? 'Even if I die, I’d never marry you!'"

Then, one day, she vanished without a trace, leaving behind nothing but a single letter for her betrothed.

But contrary to Elisha’s expectation, that he wouldn’t bother searching for her, Erich begins looking for her immediately.

"...Whether she’s still within the empire or has fled beyond its borders, it doesn’t matter. Just find her and bring her back to me."

When she is finally brought before him—

"...we’ll settle this with a new promise."
