Marquis's daughter Rashel lost her parents several years ago and has devoted her life to one goal above all else, saving her younger brother, who suffers from a serious illness.
One day, however, she discovers that her fiancé, Alois, is plotting to murder her brother in order to seize the family inheritance. Worse still, Rashel herself is killed to silence her.
After finding herself back in the past, Rashel vows that this time she will protect both her family and her brother no matter what. To do so, she seeks out Duke Ghislain Hubert, a man feared throughout the kingdom for his cold and ruthless nature.
"Please marry me."
What was meant to be nothing more than a marriage of convenience based on mutual interests slowly begins to change. Though Ghislain is initially distant and indifferent, his attitude toward Rashel gradually starts to soften...
