Chapter Title: Commemoration
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Aileen’s lips parted on their own. It was the one thing she had been waiting to hear all week. Too eager to form words, she nodded first before quickly replying.
“Yes! I don’t think I need any more treatment. It doesn’t hurt at all. I’m all healed.”
Was it because of her anticipation? She even felt a throbbing heat bloom deep inside her, where a strange sensation had been stirring. But then it occurred to Aileen that no longer needing the ointment didn’t necessarily mean her desires would be satisfied.
Cesare could just let the night pass without doing anything. He might not even come to the bedroom at all.
‘He’s busy… It was strange that I got to see His Excellency every single day.’
He wasn’t idle enough to concern himself with someone like her. Aileen stopped tormenting the brutally chopped asparagus on her plate and cautiously asked Cesare.
“Will you… be coming home tonight…?”
She couldn’t ask for what she wanted directly, so she skirted around the issue. Cesare chuckled in response.
“I must. It’s the day you receive the name of Erzet. I can’t simply let it pass.”
He leaned his upper body forward slightly. He hadn’t moved much closer, but for some reason, her heart lurched in surprise.
“Shouldn’t we celebrate today, just the two of us?”
The dining room was brightly lit by the morning sun streaming through the windows. But for a moment, she felt as if she were naked in bed with him in the dead of night.
Her cheeks flushed before she could stop them. He would surely be able to tell she was having indecent thoughts. But even though she was aware of it, she couldn’t control her body’s reaction.
A tingling sensation swirled in the secret place between her legs. Her body, which had spent days heating up and cooling down, now reacted instantly to the slightest stimulation. Aileen held her breath as she felt herself slowly growing wet.
His red eyes watched every change Aileen underwent. Under his gaze, she slowly swallowed. Aileen finally parted her lips. A small, broken voice escaped her, like a heated breath.
“Yes…”
Cesare, who had been staring at her intently, gave a slow smile. The curve of his lips was beautiful. Aileen couldn’t tear her eyes away from him.
Cesare’s eyes remained locked with hers as he spoke.
“You always did like sleeping with me.”
He was talking about when they were very young. Once, after a visit to the palace, a sudden downpour had forced her to spend the night in the prince’s wing.
She was meant to sleep alone in a spacious bedroom, but the thunder and lightning tearing through the sky made it impossible to fall asleep. Terrified, Aileen had clutched a pillow and shivered until she finally sought out the prince’s chambers.
The attendant she met in the hallway, far from stopping her, had led her straight to the prince’s bedroom. The prince had let Aileen, who was trembling too much to even explain she was scared, sleep in his bed.
Because of her, the prince himself hadn’t been able to lie down. He had sat in a chair he’d brought over and read a book all night. Aileen had only managed to fall asleep listening to the sound of him turning the pages.
Though it had only happened once, he spoke as if it had been a frequent occurrence in their childhood. With a placid expression, Cesare uttered a brazenly lewd remark.
“Now, we can finally sleep together in the same bed.”
He knew the meaning of ‘sleeping together’ had completely changed, yet he deliberately chose those ambiguous words. When Aileen could only blush without replying, Cesare rose from his seat.
He was scheduled to arrive at the imperial palace before her. Aileen quickly stood up to see him off.
But instead of leaving the dining room, Cesare walked around the table to her side. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. When Aileen remained still, he cupped her chin with his hand and tilted her head up.
Then, he kissed her on the lips. Aileen let out a low moan, “Hahh.” Her body trembled, even her eyelashes fluttering.
What had started as a simple, chaste greeting gradually turned into a caress. His fingers roamed over Aileen’s body. His touch was bold and uninhibited, as if her body were his own.
Parting her lips, he pushed his tongue deep inside while his hand stroked the nape of her neck. He then gripped it firmly, tilting her head for a deeper kiss that probed the recesses of her mouth. His other hand seized her waist.
Aileen clung to his arm, swept away by the dizzying kiss.
“Hut, hng…”
In the past, such a demanding kiss would have frightened her. But now, it was nothing but a delight. As if begging for more, she even tried to move her tongue in a clumsy imitation of his.
When Aileen’s tongue stirred, Cesare responded in kind, rubbing his against hers. So much blood rushed to her head that she felt dizzy. Aileen pressed her body against Cesare’s and looked up at him.
His eyes narrowed as he licked the roof of her mouth. The hand that had been lingering near her collarbone slid downward. His large hand closed over her breast.
Startled, Aileen made a sound, but it was muffled by his lips. Cesare saw her flinch in surprise but paid it no mind.
With the hand that had roughly squeezed her breast, he now gently circled her nipple. Only when he touched it did Aileen realize her nipple had hardened into a sharp peak.
Each time his fingertip brushed against the taut bud, heat pooled in her lower body, making her clench instinctively. Her empty passage, holding nothing, tightened with a hollow ache. The slick wetness that had begun to flow from her entrance thoroughly soaked her undergarments.
Trying to suppress the moans that threatened to spill out, she found herself making whimpering sounds, like someone in pain. Whenever Cesare touched her, she simply couldn’t hold back her moans.
‘I barely even knew this part of me existed before…’
The fleeting thought crossed her mind as she squeezed her thighs together. A tingling sensation, not unlike a pressing urge yet entirely different, pulsed between her legs. Knowing it was shameless, but wanting to be kissed more deeply, she desperately sucked on the tongue that was exploring her mouth.
Then, just as Cesare pinched one of her nipples, she couldn’t hold back any longer. Her back arched sharply as she let out a moan of pure pleasure.
“Hnngh…!”
In that instant, Cesare’s breathing hitched slightly. His eyes narrowed, and his movements grew fiercer. He pulled his lips away rather roughly. Then, he slowly removed his hand from her breast.
He raked his crimson eyes over her. Completely pliant and undone, Aileen gazed up at him with dazed eyes.
Her tongue peeked out from between her parted lips, but Aileen didn't even realize she hadn't drawn it all the way back in. She could only wonder why the sudden end to the kiss, why he wouldn't give her more.
Cesare lightly sucked on Aileen’s dazed tongue. Then he nibbled her earlobe and gave her a reason.
“Any more and I really won’t be able to hold back.”
Aileen couldn’t think straight. She mumbled the first thing that came to her mind.
“I want to do it now…”
Her thoroughly aroused body was in agony. She clutched at his clothes, panting, and Cesare soothed her gently.
“You have to go to the palace, hmm?”
He was so aroused that the distinct outline of his erection was visible through his trousers. Aileen’s eyes followed its length down his thigh before she belatedly realized what she was doing and quickly looked away. Her heart pounded wildly.
“I’ll head to the palace first. Take your time, Aileen.”
He gently pried her hands from his clothes and kissed each of her fingertips. He even lightly sucked and bit the fourth finger, where her wedding ring sat.
“I’ll be waiting for you at the imperial palace.”
With those simple words, Cesare left the dining room. Left alone, Aileen remained flushed for a moment before slowly sinking back into her chair.
She was breathless, and it was wet all between her legs. A scorching heat simmered beneath her skin, and her lower belly ached with a tormenting throb. Aileen was unconsciously pressing her thighs together, putting pressure on her core, when she jolted back to her senses.
‘I’m going insane.’
She slowly uncrossed her legs and tried to even out her ragged breathing. Waiting for the heat to leave her face, Aileen thought.
‘Quickly…’
She wished for night to fall quickly, so she could be with Cesare in their bedroom.
